Parking Rules

Parking Rules Enforced by City of Atlanta Police

City of Atlanta has informed us that police will issue tickets at Bagley Park (formerly known as Frankie Allen Park) to any vehicle not parked in a designated parking space. Neighbors have filed complaints that cars have been parked on some grassy areas in the park, causing excessive wear and tear to the green space.

We all agree that vehicle parking is sometimes a challenge at Buckhead Baseball. Even so, please abide by the parking regulations to avoid receiving a citation from the city.

Thank you for following this rule, and helping to protect the green areas at Bagley Park.

Parking at the Park

When heading out to the ballpark, please know that:

1. Our parking capacity is limited by the surrounding uses and constraints within the park.

2. We are in close communication with the Parks Department about improving parking situation at the park. We will communicate any progress.

3. We have tried to spread out game start times to reduce the parking problem.

4. We will have three police offers work peak parking times to help keep traffic moving. We started this several years ago.

5. Please DO NOT park on the grass in any area of the park!  You can only park in a designated parking space.

If you park on the neighboring streets ... PLEASE obey the following rules:

DO NOT PARK if there is a City of Atlanta issued NO PARKING sign in front of someone's home.

DO NOT PARK on one of our neighbor's lawns.

DO NOT block someone's driveway.

DO NOT litter in their yard - please throw your trash/recyclables away at the ballpark.

BE COURTEOUS and RESPECTFUL of our neighbors! We all live in the same community!

OLD DECATUR ROAD - Please DO NOT DROP OFF YOUR KIDS on this dead end street.  There is a BB sign at the end of the street that says "NO DROP-OFFS".

MORE Parking Laws:
1).  Cannot park within 30 feet of a stop sign

2).  It is illegal to block a mailbox

3).  Wheels must be within 12 inches of the curb

If you do illegally park on the surrounding neighborhood streets - the police will be called and your car will be ticketed and/or towed.

We do have several parking options for the season - please see below:

1. The Frankie Allen Park lots.  PLEASE LOOK FOR A PARKING PLACE IN HERE FIRST!

2. Gravel lot on Pharr Road by Majors field. This is particularly convenient for Majors parents. You cannot park in the parking lot of business/house next to lot. Please be careful pulling out on Pharr Road because there is a blind spot. It is critical that we respect our neighbors and City of Atlanta laws by obeying all no-parking and other street signs.

3. The Suzuki School and The Montessori Training Center (on Pharr Road) - over the last few years, these entities have allowed our families to park in their lots on weekends and after 5:30PM on weekdays. Please note that there may be select days and nights where we CANNOT park in their lots - a sign will be out in their parking lots stating that their lots are for "special use".  If that sign is out - please DO NOT park in their lots!  Please be sure to check out the Parking Map to see where their designated lots are located. Please treat these lots with the utmost respect, so we can continue to enjoy them.

CROSSWALKS:  If you park across the street - PLEASE use the crosswalks - they are located at Pharr Road/Maple Drive and Pharr Road/Grandview.

The Suzuki School is available EVERY weekend day to park in their parking lot.

Here are the days when the Montessori Training Center is NOT available for parking for Spring 2023 Season:
These dates will be listed before the Spring 2023 Season

AGAIN - PLEASE TRY TO FIND A PARKING PLACE IN THE FRANKIE ALLEN PARKING LOTS FIRST!

Also, and most importantly....crossing Pharr Road at these parking lots can be very dangerous! Please try to use the crosswalk at the light or walk down to the entrance of Buckhead Baseball to get into the park - your safety is our utmost concern!

See you at the ballpark!
